I have combined my favourite symbols in this new sculpture.
I use gold because I like the irony when used to create a skull. We are a consumerist society obsessed with status symbols and the pursuit of wealth and power. The skull, however, reminds us that we are all mortal and the dripping wax is the ticking clock.
